Huzurabad: TRS candidate Gelu Srinivas Yadav and BJP candidate Eatala Rajender are personally monitoring the activities of the party cadre in their efforts to win over voters in Huzurabad bypoll. Both TRS and BJP have stepped up their efforts to ensure that voters turn out in large numbers. He is focusing on mobilizing not only the local voters, but also those who are in the state and other parts of the country but have their votes in Huzurabad. If the family wants to come to Huzurabad and exercise their franchise, the parties are also paying cab charges.

The leaders said they have contacted all the voters who are living in other parts of the country and urged them to come to exercise their franchise. Political parties are said to be offering to reimburse the travel and boarding expenses of such voters. Tension was clearly visible in both the camps. Both sides claim that all survey reports are in their favor for public consumption. They feel that the 12-hour period from 7 am to 7 pm is the most important period at the time of polling.

There are five mandals in the constituency. Huzurabad Mandal got the maximum 61,670 votes, followed by Jammikunta with 59,000 votes and Kamalapur Mandal with 51,000 votes. TRS leaders have expressed confidence of getting more votes from these three mandals. BJP also made the same claim. Meanwhile, the Election Commission of India has made elaborate arrangements to ensure peaceful elections by following the Covid protocols. Police and election observers developed a network to monitor law and order issues. Central forces have also been heavily deployed.
