BREAKING NEWS: Technical snag in plane forces MP CM to cancel trip

BHOPAL:Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, was scheduled to visit Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, on Friday, February 10,  but that trip had to be cancelled due to a technical issue with the plane,  official sources  said.

Chouhan arrived at the airport's hangar and was ready to board the aircraft in the VIP section when they informed him that the problem could not be fixed in time.

The chief minister, who was going to Hyderabad to take part in the 'Samrat Vikramadiyta Utsav', will now speak the event in online mode, the sources said.

Samrat Vikramadiyta Utsav':  The first Vikramaditya Utsav is being held in Hyderabad during the week of Valentine's Day by the culture department of the MP government and the Vikramaditya Shodh Peeth, which is run by the state government. 

CM Shivraj Singh has committed to inaugurating the three-day event, which will start on February 10 at the HMT ground in Hyderabad. Culture minister Usha Thakur will also be set to present.

A Maha Natya on the king will be staged at the Utsav, wherein almost 200 artistes from Ujjain will participate. There will be exhibitions on the king and the seals and objects of Vikram era, as per reports
