Bangalore: Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa is likely to resign from his post on July 26. They have also hinted at this. CM Yediyurappa has said that BJP president JP Nadda, PM Modi, and Home Minister Amit Shah have a lot of respect and love for me. The policy in the BJP is clear that there will be no post for anyone after they cross the age of 75, for they praised my work and they allowed me to work from the age of 78-79 years.

I intend to strengthen the party in the state and bring the party back to power, Yediyurappa said. On July 26, I will complete 2 years in office, followed by national president Nadda. Yediyurappa further said that it is my duty to bring the BJP back to the government, I urge all party workers to follow discipline, whatever the party decides, I will work, all party workers and sadhus will cooperate.

According to sources, Yediyurappa offered to resign before PM Modi on July 16, citing his poor health and advancing age, and offered to resign from his post. Though the party high command had already told him that he would have to resign from his post, Yediyurappa was re-informed on Friday. In view of the next step of the party leadership, he had already offered to resign on his behalf.
