On Monday, the first trading day of the week, the stock market started on the green mark. Bombay Stock Exchange's flagship index Sensex opened at a level of 37258.89, up 238.75 points i.e. 0.64 percent. The National Stock Exchange's Nifty opened at 10968.10 with an increase of 0.61 percent i.e. 66.40 points.

If you talk about the big stocks, today HDFC, HDFC Bank, Infratel, Coal India, Infosys, UPL, Britannia, Infosys, IndusInd Bank Bajaj Finance and ICACI Bank have started from the beginning. Shares of BPCL, M&AM, Hindalco, Sun Pharma, IOC, Tata Motors, Cipla, Wipro, Power Grid and Hindustan Unilever started to fall.

On the other hand, if we look at the sectoral index, today all the sectors except pharma started on the green mark. These include private banks, FMCG, metal, IT, realty, media, auto and PSU banks. The stock market was on the green mark at the time of pre-open. The Sensex was at a level of 37409.03 after a rise of 388.89 points, or 1.05 percent, at 9.10 am.

Nifty was up 97.75 points i.e. 0.90 percent at the level of 10999.45. After trading on Friday, the stock market closed on a strong lead. The Sensex was up 548.46 points at the level of 37020.14 with a gain of 1.50 percent. Nifty closed at the level of 10901.70 with an increase of 161.75 points above 1.51 percent. The stock market started with a green mark on Friday.
