Chandigarh: Before the Haryana Assembly elections, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has received another setback. Madan Lal Gurjar, the BSP candidate from Kaithal in the Haryana Assembly elections, has joined the Congress. Madan Lal is supporting Congress candidate Randeep Singh Surjewala from Kaithal. Madan Lal has joined Congress in the presence of Randeep Surjewala.
Dharamveer Chemist, District President of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) from Kaithal, has also announced to join the Congress. Significantly, earlier on Friday, former Haryana minister and three-time MLA Kartar Singh left the BSP and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The party's general secretary Arun Singh has got him party membership at the BJP headquarters.
On this occasion, Arun Singh said, "I have taken membership of BJP, being impressed by the policies of PM Modi. Because for me there is nothing in front of the nation's interest. On the issue of removing Article 370 of the Constitution from Kashmir, I am of the Modi government. I support and impressed by this, I joined BJP because only BJP can take the country forward. "
