The political upsurge in Rajasthan has intensified. After Sachin Pilot got relief from the High Court, stir in the Gehlot camp has started to catch pace. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, along with his supporters, reached the Raj Bhavan and staged a sit-in to demand an assembly session in an aggressive tone. After discussion, Governor Kalraj Mishra has raised some questions with the ruling party regarding the Legislative Assembly session. Now Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is going to meet with his cabinet and seek answers. It is being speculated that the Cabinet will send the reply to the Governor today itself.

After talking to the governor, Chief Minister Gehlot, while discussing with the press, targeted the opposition fiercely. CM Gehlot told all the MLAs to work according to Gandhian way. These are our Rajpramukhs (Heads of the Constitution). We do not want any dispute". He said "This has never happened in the history of the country, that the Governor has not given permission to call the assembly session. The Governor is bound by the decisions of the Cabinet. It seems that the Cabinet's proposal to convene the assembly session due to pressure from above has not been approved yet."

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said "We have demanded to call the assembly session. We can prove the majority in the assembly. We will also discuss the epidemic. We had requested the Governor for the session on Thursday night. Today we have again told that the Governor should decide on calling the session. He said the Governor should take a decision. We hope the Governor will give his decision soon. We will picket until the decision comes. The opposition demands to call the assembly session. Here the ruling party is demanding to call the assembly session. Why the assembly session is not being called? Chief  Minister Ashok Gehlot said "This statement was a political statement. Bhairon Singh Shekhawat also staged a sit-in at the Raj Bhavan. New leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party will not be informed about this."
