Amritsar: Raninder Singh, son of Punjab CM Capt. Amarinder Singh is to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday. The ED had issued summons to appear in the Jalandhar office of Punjab. Even before this, ED has summoned Raninder Singh twice, but he did not appear.
He expressed his inability to appear for the Olympic Games meeting in October and the Corona Test on November 6. It will have to be seen whether Raninder Singh appears before the ED this time or does he make any excuse. In the case of FEMA violation, ED wants to question Raninder. This is a case of hiding undisclosed assets abroad between the year 2005-2006. The ED had registered a case based on the income tax report.
Amarinder Singh's response to the ED notice has also come out. He said that when he is opposing the agricultural laws of the Center, why are these notices coming at the same time. Captain Amarinder Singh said, 'I do not know what to say on these, except that the timing of these notices is doubtful, all those whose notices have been received are central government agencies. These notices were received when the Agriculture Amendment Bill was passed in the Legislative Assembly.'
