New Delhi: A Delhi court on Friday stayed the CBI director's order to tender a written apology to former Amnesty India chairman Aakar Patel. Earlier on Thursday, the lower court had ordered the CBI to apologize to Patel in writing. Against which the CBI had filed a petition in the upper court.

It is noteworthy that a Delhi Court on Thursday asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to withdraw the Lookout Circular (LOC) against the then Chairman of Amnesty International India Board Aakar Patel in a case of alleged violation of Foreign Contribution Regulation Act and apologize to him. Was instructed to ask. Now the CBI is planning to appeal against this decision in a bigger court.

Let us tell you that due to a circular by the CBI, Akar Patel was stopped from boarding the plane going to America at the Bangalore airport. The CBI had claimed that a case under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) is being probed against Akar Patel and Amnesty International India and a charge sheet has also been presented before the court.
