Earlier on Friday, the Supreme Court had ordered the transfer of the victim's uncle to Tihar jail in Rae Bareli jail in connection with the murder attempt.

The court was told that the girl's mother did not want the victim to shift to Delhi for treatment. The victim is currently undergoing treatment at King George Medical College, Lucknow. The central government had told the court that the CRPF was deployed to protect the victim's girl and family. The UP government had said that the victim had been given an interim compensation of Rs 25 lakh.
