New Delhi: The Court in Delhi will hear today in the Unnao rape case. In the last hearing, the court had issued a production warrant against the main accused Kuldeep Singh Sengar and the other accused Shashi Singh. The court had asked the two accused to appear before the court at 12:30 p.m. on August 5. CBI accused MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar has been taken from Sitapur jail to Delhi.

It may be mentioned that the administration has tightened the screws against MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar after the victim was seriously injured in a road accident following the rape charge. After his dismissal from the BJP, the district administration is now taking strict action against Sengar. Earlier on Friday, the Supreme Court had ordered the transfer of the victim's uncle to Tihar jail in Rae Bareli jail in connection with the murder attempt.

The court was told that the girl's mother did not want the victim to shift to Delhi for treatment. The victim is currently undergoing treatment at King George Medical College, Lucknow. The central government had told the court that the CRPF was deployed to protect the victim's girl and family. The UP government had said that the victim had been given an interim compensation of Rs 25 lakh.
