New Delhi: The country's first CDS General Bipin Rawat has merged with panchattva. Their daughters cremated the parents. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, officials from other countries and other dignitaries CDS reached the crematorium for the last darshan of General Bipin Rawat. His demise has sent shock waves across the country and people are just chanting 'General Rawat Amar Rahe'.

In Tamil Nadu, 13 people were killed when an Army helicopter crashed at Coonoor in Nilgiri district on Wednesday. This led to the involvement of his wife and 11 jawans besides CDS. Group Captain Varun Singh, the lone survivor of the accident, is undergoing treatment at an Army hospital and his condition remains critical.

On the other hand, on the passing away of CDS Bipin Rawat, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Rawat said, "This is a great loss for the entire country. We are all very sad. He always worked for the army. Whether it is the case of China or Pakistan, we have always stood firm on every front. He was also very fond of his birthplace. Let me tell you all that Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has paid tributes to CDS General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat. In addition to him, former UP CM and SP leader Mulayam Singh Yadav paid homage to CDS General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat.
