New Delhi: The Center has issued a special advisory regarding Hanuman Janmotsav to all the states. States have been asked to ensure law and order on this day and not ignore any incident that disturbs peace and harmony in the society. Hanuman Janmotsav will be celebrated on April 6, i.e., Thursday. This advisory issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs to all the states and union territories has to sensitise the law enforcement agencies in view of last week's communal violence.

In a tweet from the Ministry of Home Affairs, it was said that "On behalf of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the State Governments have been asked to maintain law and order, ensure peaceful observance of the festival, and monitor those who disturb communal harmony in the society." In fact, after the Ram Navami processions, the situation was worsening in many states last Monday. Incidents of clashes and arson reported from Hooghly and Howrah districts of West Bengal have shocked the nation. In Howrah, several vehicles were torched and shops vandalised. Apart from this, reports of violence were also reported from several areas of Bihar, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Karnataka. There was also arson, stone-pelting, and bombardment in Bihar and Bengal.

Clashes were reported on Sunday during a Ram Navami procession in West Bengal's Rishra, in which BJP national vice president Dilip Ghosh and the party's Pursurah MLA Biman Ghosh were present. Due to this, the MLA got injured, and his treatment is going on in the hospital. There were also incidents of vandalism in parts of nearby Serampore, then prohibitory orders were imposed and internet services were suspended.
