Army is going to take steps for better co-ordination between Air Force and Navy

This step has been taken after the domestic industry received a complaint against it. According to the flag code, the tricolor can only be made from hand-cut and made wool, cotton and silk khadi. Not only this, only clothes approved by Khadi Village Industries Commission can be used to make the national flag. The national flag usually sold at the intersections is either made of plastic or non-Khadi cloth. Sales of the Khadi Village Industries Commission were also being affected by these. In the last financial year i.e. 2017-18, the Khadi Village Industries Commission sold the national flag worth Rs 3.7 crore. But in 2018-19, these sales fell by 14 percent to Rs 3.2 crore.
