New Delhi: After 'One Nation One Ration Card', now the government can soon implement 'One Nation One Tag' means that through a single digital tag, you can also pay the national road, state highway to municipal road tax. Actually, toll digitally is paid on the National Highways and State Highways of the country through fast tag or RFID.

In many states, Municipal tax or toll tax on entering the state is to be paid through other digital tags, other than fast tag. In such a situation, instead of pasting different tags on the same vehicle, the government is considering the system of paying tax on all tolls with only one tag. The Ministry of Road Transport is scheduled to hold a major meeting with the Ministry officials and several state road transport officials on October 10 to bring the concept of 'One Nation One Tag' to the ground and discuss all the specifics related to it.

If sources are to be believed, the state is also in the mood to give most of the revenue from the toll collection to the states through the tag. If the states agree with this, then the concept of one country one tag will be made successful. If sources are to be believed, the government wants to promote digital toll collection through fast tag or RFID with an aim to increase transparency and speed in toll collection.
