New Delhi: The Central government on Monday filed its reply in the Supreme court on the 'One Nation One Ration Card' scheme, accusing the Delhi government of making false statements in court over the case, saying the AAP government's claim to implement the scheme in Delhi is wrong. The Central government also said that during the last hearing, the Delhi government's counsel had tried to mislead the court by making false statements.

In fact, the Supreme court has issued strict orders to immediately implement the Central government's most ambitious scheme, the One Nation-One Ration Card, in Bengal. During the last hearing in the 'One Nation One Ration Card' case, the Supreme court had asked all states to implement the scheme. The court has categorically stated that the matter pertains to immigrants, so the scheme has to be implemented. Under the 'One Country-One Ration Card' scheme, the migrant labourer, irrespective of the state's ration card, will get ration in another state.

Earlier on Friday, the court issued a strict order to the Mamata government in West Bengal asking it to implement the scheme immediately without any hesitation. Meanwhile, a Delhi government lawyer had told the court that the scheme had been implemented in Delhi. On this, the Central government told the court on Monday that the Delhi government has implemented the scheme only in one circle, Seemapuri, where migrant labourers have received ration through only 42 e-posh machines and there have been very minor transactions. The Centre said the scheme cannot be considered fully implemented unless it is implemented all over Delhi.
