New Delhi: India is witnessing a steady decline in corona infection cases, which has now been amended by the Union Health Ministry's Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in its guidelines on the treatment of corona disease, removing all drugs except anti-diabetic (for fever) and anti-tubary (in case of cold) for symptomless and mild cases.

At the same time, the new guidelines also instruct patients not to undergo CT scans if not required. The guidelines emphasize proper catering with body hydration. The revised guidelines, issued on May 27, effectively removed all drugs that doctors were prescribing for corona patients with symptomless or mild symptoms. These drugs include hydroxychloroquine, ivormectin, doxycycline, zinc, multivitamin etc. The new guidelines say that corona patients without symptoms do not need any of these medicines. While medicines should be continued for patients suffering from diseases other than corona.

In mild cases, it has been instructed to monitor fever, breathlessness, oxygen levels or any symptoms themselves. According to new government guidelines, people can take antipyretic and anti-tussive drugs (Antipyretic and Anti-tussive) if symptoms of corona appear, while for coughing, they can take budesonide at 800 MCG doses twice a day for 5 days. All of this does not require any other medication except. If symptoms persist or worsen, the patient should be examined immediately.
