Amaravati: On the issue of bifurcation, the Centre will disucss talks with the governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The Chief Secretaries of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been invited by the Ministry of Home Affairs to attend a meeting of the Dispute Resolution Sub Committee on February 17 to consider lingering concerns originating from the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2014.
The preliminary work will be carried out by a committee chaired by the Joint Secretary (CS) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, who will also offer practical solutions to the bilateral concerns. This is the Sub Committee's first meeting. This will be done using video conferencing.
