Ranchi: Champai Soren, the recently inaugurated Chief Minister of Jharkhand, has affirmed his commitment to advancing the ongoing development initiatives commenced by his predecessor, Hemant Soren. After taking the oath, Champai Soren stated his determination to expedite the existing projects for the comprehensive progress of tribal communities, ensuring the fulfillment of people's aspirations. He accused the opposition of attempting to sow instability in the state, asserting that their endeavors had faltered in the face of the alliance's strength.

Governor C P Radhakrishnan outlined expectations for the newly appointed leaders, underscoring their responsibility to serve the poorest sections of society and address their fundamental needs. Key focus areas included infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and irrigation facilities. Radhakrishnan emphasized the need to sustain improvements in education and enhance access to clean drinking water through initiatives like the Jal Jeevan Yojana.

In the political landscape of Jharkhand, Champai Soren took over as Chief Minister, succeeding Hemant Soren. The swearing-in ceremony also featured Alamgir Alam from Congress and Satyanand Bhokta from RJD taking oaths as ministers. Following the swearing-in, several legislators departed for Hyderabad ahead of the impending floor test in the assembly. With the support of 43 MLAs in the 81-member Jharkhand assembly, the INDIA bloc, comprising JMM, Congress, RJD, and CPI (ML), commands the majority required for a successful floor test. The Bharatiya Janata Party leads the opposition with 26 seats.
