The doors of Lord Kedarnath Dham were opened for summer on Wednesday morning. After this, the worship of Baba Kedar for the next six months will be done in the Dham itself. At the time of the opening of the Kedarnath shrine, only 16 people, including the priest, were present in the puja. After the opening of Kedarnath Dham Kapat, Rudrabhishek Puja was first performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's relationship with Kedarnath Dham is very old. Here he practised. Prime Minister Modi had done spiritual practice in the cave of one and a half months at Garudchatti near Kedarnath.

First of all, he started meditating in the cave at Garudchatti himself. He lived here for one and a half months. Then Modi used to visit Kedar Baba daily. They used to drink tea after worship.

After the disaster in 2013, he reached Baba Kedar's Dham. In the month of 2019, PM Modi came to the Dham a few days before the Lok Sabha election counting and performed spiritual practice in Rudra Cave here for many hours, during which Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dress became a topic of discussion across the country. The garment was prepared by Ran Singh, an expert tailor from Jaunsar Bawar in Uttarakhand. This traditional garment of Jaunsar Bawar is called Choda.
