Chennai gets its first Piaggio electric vehicle outlet

Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of the Piaggio Group in India, has opened its first electric car outlet in Chennai. According to the firm, it is a first-of-its-kind facility in Tamil Nadu. Customers will be able to see the full Piaggio electric car lineup at this showroom.

Saju Nair, the brand's head of the commercial vehicle business and EVP of Piaggio India Pvt Ltd, expressed his joy at the showroom's opening. “We are pleased to announce the opening of our first EV-only store in Tamil Nadu, in Chennai. "Inter-city transportation business is one of the key economic drivers in Chennai since it is a huge metro and a major commercial hub," he was quoted as saying in a PTI article. Following Chennai, the business plans to extend its electric vehicle footprint in a number of other Tamil Nadu markets, according to Nair.

Piaggio has introduced the FX series of electric vehicles (fixed battery) in both the freight and passenger markets. These new goods will be offered at the brand's new Chennai location, according to the company.

Tamil Nadu's Minister for Medical and Family Welfare, M A Subramanium, officially opened the shop. He said the state administration is putting more emphasis on environmentally friendly technologies. "EV automobiles will be extremely important in the future, given the Tennessee government's focus on eco-friendly technology.Our EV strategy was created to allow for a multi-fold growth in electric car manufacturing and infrastructure development " hestated.

Nair also stated that the brand will offer various unique service solutions like class-leading warranty and free maintenance package to ensure peace of mind and confidence in customers transitioning from conventional vehicles to electric ones.
