The Tamil Nadu government did not conduct the exam due to the Corona crisis. At the same time, except for the final year students, they have passed all the other college students. He has promoted them for the next class. According to the information received, these students have been exempted from writing the semester examination to be held in May 2020. Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy has recently given a statement. In his statement, he said that, according to the guidelines of these students UGC and AICTE, marks have been given.

With this, he told that except the students who appeared for the terminal examination, all the others were promoted in the next academic year. These include all students from BA, BSc, MA, MSc, BE / BTech, ME / MTech, MCA and Diploma courses. At the same time it is also being said that the university is preparing for final year students. She is busy preparing for conducting any type of assessment test for him. Simultaneously, as per UGC guidelines, all universities have to conduct examinations for final year students.

Indeed, the state government has formed to finalize the modalities of conducting the semester examination, which is of 11-member expert panel. In the past, the high-level panel suggested that 'there is no possibility of conducting the exam due to the covid-19 spread'. The Chief Minister says that a detailed government order will be issued by the Higher Education Department on this issue.
