Raipur: 1200 members of 400 families have returned to Hinduism at Khutapani in Pathalgaon in the Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh. These people have converted to Christianity three generations ago. Thousands of people gathered at the two-day event. The event was organised by Arya Samaj and Hindu Samaj. Meanwhile, BJP State Minister and Homecoming Campaign Chief Prabal Pratap Singh Judev washed the feet of all the people and welcomed them back to Hinduism.

According to media reports, State Minister and Prabal Pratap Singh of the Jashpur royal family attended the function and said that protecting Hindutva is the only resolution of his life. He said most of the families who returned home were residents of Basna Saraipali. He said, "The return of such a large number of people to their original religion today is a good sign. The work done by taking undue advantage of one's compulsion is never sustainable. The missionaries took advantage of the compulsions of the poor to convert them. Religion was traded in the name of education and health, but we will continue to expose these conspiracies''.

Families who returned to Hinduism said that their ancestors were converted about 3 generations ago. At that time, they were very poor and converted due to some (financial) help in farming and treatment of diseases by missionaries, but now they have become aware.
