In Gujarat, a terrible road accident took place in Ahmedabad in the morning. Five people lost their lives while 3 others were injured in a van and tanker collision in Valana village of the district. This was informed by the police. It is found that the incident took place around 5 am on the road connecting Vataman to Bhavnagar.
In the case, an officer of Koth police station said, "8 people were riding in the van. All of them were on their way to Khambhat in Anand district. The van was being driven on the wrong side when a tanker hit the van near Valana village. While 4 people lost their lives on the spot, another succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. Three others were injured in the accident''.
The official said the collision was so strong that it took hours to retrieve the body from the damaged van. The official said 2 women were among the dead. He said three of the injured are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Khambhat.
