Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that he has information that officials of the company that formed the Pegasus during the BJP government came here and contacted some people. The State Government has constituted a Committee to look into the matter. He has asked former CM and BJP leader Raman Singh to disclose who he met and what kind of deal he has made.

CM Baghel further said that the NSO Group says they only work with the government, the Government of India should tell whether they have done a deal with them or not. They are spying on opposition leaders, journalists, and even ministers. What was the motive? It should be looked into. Reacting to the case, former Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh said, "After many years, Bhupesh Baghel dreams that there was an incident of use of pegasus in 2017. After a call from Sonia Gandhi, they come and say that phones were tapped and records were burnt. These are false and baseless allegations.''

Meanwhile, Congress leader and former Rajasthan Deputy CM Sachin Pilot on Wednesday demanded an independent probe into allegations of spying on politicians, journalists, and others using Pegasus spyware.
