Raipur: Constable Ramkinkar Gavade and his personal driver who was absconding with the tiger forest vehicle of Dial 112 stationed in the Kotwali area in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. They were arrested by the Durg Police on Thursday late evening on the information of the command center officials. Both went to the fort without the permission of the officers. On showing indiscipline in this case, Raipur Superintendent of Police Ajay Yadav suspended the soldier, while removing the driver from driving the vehicle.
According to the information, on Thursday afternoon, constable Ramkinkar Gavande and driver Toshan Sinha posted in the Kotwali Tiger One vehicle of Dial 112 disappeared without permission from the officers. When the command center tracked the GPS system installed in the vehicle, the location of the vehicle was found in the Durg district. Calling on it revealed that both the mobile and GPS systems were off. When the location was not found, there was a stir in the police department. Immediately after this, the fortification highway was blocked. When the command center wanted to talk to the constable via wireless, the constable used abusive words from the officers.
Along with this, it also came to know that the soldier Ramkinkar was drunk. Late evening Khurshipar police arrested the constable and his driver with a dial 112 vehicle. Police brought both of them to the police station and made them sit. Officers of Dial 112 vehicle, taking the matter seriously, suspended the constable Ramkinkar village for this act.
