The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Chhattisgarh, led by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, is all set to convene its inaugural cabinet meeting, marking a significant step towards addressing the state's electoral pledges.

Following his swearing-in ceremony as the Chief Minister, Vishnu Deo Sai announced the scheduled cabinet meeting, slated to take place on Thursday. The swearing-in ceremony witnessed a notable presence of prominent leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union ministers Nitin Gadkari, Ramdas Athawale, BJP president J P Nadda, and a massive audience of approximately 50,000 attendees.

After assuming their positions, Chief Minister Sai and his two deputy CMs, Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma, immediately commenced official proceedings by engaging with state chief secretary Amitabh Jain and Director General of Police Ashok Juneja.

Chief Minister Sai addressed the media, outlining the agenda for the forthcoming cabinet meeting. He emphasized discussions surrounding the commitments highlighted in the party's election manifesto, aligning with Prime Minister Modi's assurances. Sai reiterated their focus on housing projects for 18 lakh beneficiaries under the PM Awas Yojana as the initial priority.

Additionally, Sai highlighted plans to release pending bonuses related to paddy procurement for farmers on December 25, coinciding with the birth anniversary of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He affirmed the government's dedication to fulfilling all promises made during the election campaign, promising to honor Prime Minister Modi's commitments throughout their tenure.

The cabinet meeting aims to set the roadmap for the government's actions in line with their electoral assurances, demonstrating the administration's dedication to delivering on promises made to the people of Chhattisgarh over the next five years.
