Three innocent children who had gone for a picnic here drowned in Jhiria, and now the village is in mourning after the accident. In fact, six friends had gone for a picnic in Amarwara in Chhindwara, while 3 innocent children drowned in Jhiria. Three other friends reportedly fled after seeing them drowning and did not inform anyone about it out of fear.
When the trio did not reach home till last Monday evening, they launched a search, and the bodies of the trio were recovered from Jhiria late in the night. In the case, The Amarwara SDOP said, "It was reported late in the evening that the bodies were landing in Jhiria near Garmeta temple. Following this information, the police went to the spot and launched a rescue operation and recovered the bodies of Yash Sahu, son Ashok Yadav and Kartik's son Satish.''
