Intelligence firm 'Recorded Future Inc', in a report released on Wednesday, said that China has targeted India's power sector as part of a cyber espionage campaign.

According to the same report, hackers sponsored by China's government had focused on at least 7 load dispatch centers in north India. The work of these centres is to carry out real time operations for grid control and power supply to the existing areas along the Indo-China border and Ladakh. One of the load dispatch centres has been attacked by another hacking group RedEcho before. According to the report, these hackers are associated with a large hacking group. The US also believes that the hacking group has a direct connection with the Chinese government. The report said that the prolonged attack on the Indian power grid by a chinese government-linked hacking group has led to limited economic espionage or gathering of traditional intelligence.  

According to the same firm, through this, information around important foundation structures has been collected. It can also be used in the future. In addition to the power sector, Chinese hackers have also targeted India's National Emergency Response System and a subsidiary of a multinational logistics company. The name of the group that carried out the hacking is TAG-38. This group has used a terrible software called ShadowPad to carry out its intentions.
