Jammu: The wait for cinema lovers in Jammu and Kashmir is now over. For the first time in three decades, multiplexes have opened in Kashmir today. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the multiplex in Srinagar. With its inauguration, the people of Kashmir have got the opportunity to watch the film at multiplexes for the first time after three decades. But this route to open multiplexes on Kashmir soil was not that simple. Even before this, many attempts were made to open cinema halls in Kashmir but could not succeed.

In the first multiplex that has opened in Srinagar today, Aamir Khan's Lal Singh Chadha film is first seen, which Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha is also watching sitting with the audience. According to the report, this multiplex prepared by INOX in Srinagar will have three movie theatres and a food court. Here 520 people will be able to sit together and watch the film. At present, there is a strategy to run three shows between 9 am and 6 pm in the day. Later, changes will be made by looking at the audience statistics.

There is also a ruckus about the cinema halls going to open in Kashmir. AIMIM chief Owaisi has clearly stated that cinema halls are being opened in Kashmir but every Friday Srinagar's Jamia Masjid is closed. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi attacked the BJP government and said that you opened cinema halls in Shopian and Pulwama but why is Srinagar's Jamia Masjid closed every Friday? At least at the time of the afternoon matinee show, don't turn them off. Regarding the opening of cinema halls in Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that we will soon construct such multipurpose cinema halls in every district of Jammu and Kashmir. Soon, such cinema halls will be constructed in Anantnag, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Doda, Rajouri, Poonch and Kishtwar.
