CISF- Central Industrial Security Force - Raising day is observed every year on 10th of March. CISF is a branch of the central armed police force in India. It is one of the categories out of the six different armed forces that come under the jurisdiction of the union ministry.

In addition to securing government-built industries, it also covers several industrial facilities operated by the private sector. The CISF also offers fire protection services and serves as a consultant to numerous private enterprises.

The CISF's security officers are highly trained professionals who play a specific role in disaster management and are generally attentive to all the actions that must be taken to address a disaster. The CISF troops were established on March 15, 1969, in accordance with an Act of the Indian Parliament. Their initial strength was 2800, but it has since been grown to approximately 148,371 people.
