Railways have run special trains from Guwahati to evacuate the trapped people against the Citizenship Amendment Act in the Northeast including Assam. So far, 2400 passengers have been evacuated, while 800 are yet to be evacuated. These 800 people are trapped in Guwahati. A train was run to Dimapur. Trains are being operated for the main juncture Furketing and Dibrugarh in Assam's Golaghat district. Curfew has been relaxed from 9 am to 6 pm in Guwahati.
