City center scam: clean chit to all accused including Punjab CM Amarinder Singh

Ludhiana: The court has approved the closure report of the case filed by Vigilance in the Bahukarodi scam in the famous city center of Ludhiana. Due to which all the accused, including the Chief Minister of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh, who were made accused in this case, got a clean chit. The case was heard today in the court of District and Sessions Judge Gurbir Singh of Ludhiana.

During the hearing, the accused Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh, and others were present as per the instructions of the court. Due to the hearing, there were strict security arrangements in and around the court premises. Everyone was being allowed to enter the court premises after a rigorous security check since morning. Please tell that the Vigilance Bureau has already filed a closure report in the city center scam and 12 years ago this agency had filed an FIR in the case. Vigilance filed a closure report in the case in August 2017, after which the court started hearing arguments on the closure report.

While the Punjab Prosecution Department argued in favor of the closure report, as he represented Punjab Vigilance. Many petitions were turned down during the hearing, in which the validity of the closure report was questioned and the court sought to dismiss it.
