Amritsar: The assembly elections in Punjab this time were very interesting. All the exit polls had said that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) may form the government in Punjab this time. AAP has declared Bhagwant Mann as its CM face. He is leading from the pivot seat. In such a situation, this assembly seat is being counted in the hot seat. Even if AAP gets a majority, it is necessary to win the axis seat to make Bhagwant Mann the CM. And Mann is leading by 35000 votes from this seat. In Punjab, the AAP is leading in 90 of the 117 seats and the ruling Congress is seen shrinking to 18 seats.

Bhagwant Mann is currently the Lok Sabha MP of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He has reached the Lok Sabha for the second time. The Sangrur seat from which Bhagwant Mann is the MP, Dhuri assembly seat falls under it. There are 74 villages in this constituency. Talking about the Election Commission's figures, there are a total of 1,38,461 voters. From this point of view, it can be said that the assembly constituency is not very large. Bhagwant Mann is being challenged by Congress candidate Dalbir Singh from this seat.

Dalbir Singh had won the 2017 election. Earlier in 2012, Congress party's candidate Arvind Khanna became an MLA from here. In the morning, pictures of Bhagwant Mann's house had appeared in the media. Jalebis were being built at his house. In addition, his house was also decorated. The AAP headquarters in Punjab have also been decorated. Bhagwant Mann had also offered prayers at the Gurudwara.
