Shimla: The rainy season is going on now, and during this time, rain showers started in many states of the country. Meanwhile, traffic was completely blocked on NH 5 near Choling due to cloudburst in Runang of Miru panchayat of Kinnaur city of Uttarakhand. The traffic remained completely closed due to flooding on NH 5 near Choling ahead of Roong Khad at around 2.30 pm. People had to face a lot of problems due to highway blocking.

The administration has restored the highway as soon as information is received. NH-5 senior engineer Mohan Mehta said in his statement, the blocked highway has been restored late night. On Wednesday, there was a lot of rain in Shimla. Due to landslides in Shimla, the vehicles got badly buried in debris. Metrological centre Shimla has also expressed the possibility of rain in some areas on Wednesday. The weather is expected to remain bad throughout the state till August 10. As soon as the August begins, the monsoon has faded. There is no warning of maximum rainfall in any area of the state in the coming days. However, medium to moderate showers are expected.

Meanwhile, 56 corona positive cases have come up in the state on Tuesday. 17 cases have been reported in Bilaspur, 12 in Solan, 10 in Kangra, 5 in Sirmaur, 4 in Shimla, 3 in Hamirpur, 2-2 in Chamba-Kullu and 1 in Una. 14 more labourers from outside states kept in quarantine at AIIMS site of Bilaspur have come corona positive. CMO Dr Prakash Dadoch said that 14 corona cases have been reported in AIIMS on Tuesday.
