VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy is set to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Thursday. The CM will brief the central leaders on his trip to Davos and discuss issues such as central fund release to the state.

Reddy  will leave Gannavaram airport today  at 11.10 am for Delhi and is likely to return to the state on Friday.

On April 5, the Chief minister met with the Prime Minister for the last time. It was a long meeting that lasted over 45 minutes. He spoke about a various issues of the state. Later, the central government had raised the state’s borrowing limit.

According to sources, CM Jagan will also address the presidential and vice-presidential elections with PM Modi and Shah, and plead for a further easing of the borrowing limit for Andhra Pradesh. There is a possibility that the chief minister may extend his party's support to the NDA in the July polls.  Apart from the issue of additional borrowings and the revised Polavaram cost, Jagan is expected to discuss other topics of importance to the state, according to sources.

In the wake of the debate over the state's rising debt burden and unaccounted loans, Jagan is expected to ask the Centre to raise the state's net borrowing ceiling for the current fiscal year.
