New Delhi: The Kejriwal government has decided to appoint a consultant to supply 24-hour water to each house in the country's capital, Delhi, which will explain how 24 hours of water can be supplied to each household. CM Arvind Kejriwal has said that in a recent meeting with Delhi Jal Board (DJB) officials, we have decided that a consultant will be appointed to ensure 24 hours water supply in every household. We will try to achieve this target within 5 years.

It is noteworthy that DJB met on Thursday under the chairmanship of Delhi government's water minister and DJB head Satyendra Jain. Many important decisions were taken during this meeting. The residents of Delhi will no longer have to visit the offices of the Delhi Jal Board to get water and sewer connections and neither have to get caught in the clutches of the brokers. Now people can take water and sewer connection just by making a phone call. Jal Board has approved an easy process to implement this new scheme for water and sewer connections.

Under the scheme, online applications will be approved for new connections and those who cannot apply online can call 1076 and take advantage of this facility by taking the help of mobile assistant. In addition, in those who do not have the ownership rights, the applicant can obtain a connection of water sewer by giving 3 months paid electricity bills and own declaration undertaking along with an identity document.
