Bhopal: A cabinet meeting was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. A number of important proposals were approved. Briefing the media about the cabinet decisions, Home Minister Narottam Mishra said, the Chief Minister's voluntary contribution amount has been approved to be increased from Rs 150 crore to Rs 200 crore and the voluntary contribution amount of the legislative assembly has been increased from 15 lakh to 50 lakh. In addition, it has been decided to increase the MLA Area Development Fund Scheme from Rs 1.85 crore to Rs.2.50 crore.

The Cabinet meeting has approved the opening of new medical colleges at Ujjain and Budni. For this, in-principle approval was given to open a 100 MBS seat medical college in Budni. At the same time, administrative approval was given to open a medical college of 100 MBBS seats in Ujjain. The proposal to open new ITIs in 23 development blocks of the state has also been approved.

The constitution of a State Statistical Commission has been approved in the state. At the same time, the land was sanctioned for the opening of the national forensic university Bhopal. In addition, Chhita Khudri Medium Irrigation Project at Jabalpur was sanctioned. An ex-gratia of Rs.1 crore each was sanctioned to the police personnel martyred in the Aron massacre of Guna.
