Bhopal: Today is the death anniversary of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, the great thinker of modern India, a scholar of Hinduism and founder of Arya Samaj, a great sannyasi and a nation thinker. Today, everyone is paying homage to him. Several leaders on Twitter are paying homage to him and Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is on the same list. He tweeted his greetings. CM Chauhan tweeted: "Greetings at the feet of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, the founder and ardent reformist saint of Arya Samaj. You were a sanyasi warrior who opposed social evils like the Sati system. The light of rationalism that you have ignited will always pave the way for mankind.''

He further said, "Swami Dayanand Saraswatiji, the unbroken lamp that you have lit for the innovation of the nation and society with your knowledge, spiritual power for the national renaissance will remain glorious for ages. Salutations at the feet of the great saint!'' MP Home Minister Narottam Mishra also tweeted. He tweeted, "Swami Dayanand Saraswati Ji preached nationality to the people of India through sermons and always motivated Indians to die on the country. Thousand salutations and humble tributes on his death anniversary.''

Let us also tell all of you that Swami Dayanandsaraswati was the founder of Arya Samaj, the great thinker of modern India, social reformer and patriot, Swami Dayanandsaraswati made a special contribution in removing the evils like child marriage, Sati system. At the same time, he considered the Vedas to be supreme and opposed the evils prevalent in Hindu society, giving evidence of the Vedas. Let me tell you that the great social reformer Swami passed away on 30th October 1883.
