Bengaluru: As Supreme court ordered to release 6,000 cusecs of Cauvery water per day to Tamil Nadu, and due to this the violence erupted and after that, Chief minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday decided summon a one-day legislature session on Friday to ask for the opinion of elected representatives on the matter.
Chief Minister has postponed implementation of the order until such time.
The move came in front after the meeting of Siddaramaiah with his cabinet colleagues, JD(S) leaders and the legal fraternity.
According to BJP sources, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked Union water resources minister Uma Bharati to convene a meeting of all Cauvery basin states.”
