Ranchi: Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has termed public interest litigation (PIL) filed in the Jharkhand High Court in the mining lease allotment case in his name as a conspiracy of his political opponents. Soren said it was a conspiracy to defame him, while there was no case of misuse of the CM's post.
However, as a bench of Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan and Justice SN Prasad was not available today in the Jharkhand High Court, the pre-scheduled hearing in the case was adjourned and the matter is now expected to come up for hearing next week.
At the same time, CM Hemant Soren, in his reply filed in the High Court, has alleged that the PIL filed against him before a division bench headed by the Chief Justice in the lease allotment case of a stone quarry at Anegada in Ranchi is beyond fact and is only a conspiracy by his political opponents to defame him. At the same time, CM Hemant Soren in his reply has also requested the court to crack down on the petitioner, terming the PIL as an abuse of the public interest litigation system.
