On Friday, the big statement of Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan has come out. In which he said that it is 'unfortunate' that the trial of Italian marines cannot take place in India. He also said that the states are not in favour of withdrawing the case from the Supreme Court. Vijayan's response comes a day after the Netherlands said that two Italian marines accused of killing Indian fishermen in 2012 off the coast of Kerala will not face a case in India. The central government told the Supreme Court on Friday that it has accepted the verdict and demanded the closure of the case.

After this incident, the arbitration court has decided that India can get compensation from Italy. This court also said that both the marines had violated international law. As a result, Italy violated India's freedom of navigation under the United Nations Convention of the Sea.

In his statement, Vijayan further explained what they talked about compensation? The country will have to take strict steps to ensure compensation. So that this kind of action does not happen again. The state does not agree to close the case, we will inform the central government about the state's spirit in this matter. The central government in its petition before the apex court said that without an appeal the decision of the tribunal in the case is final.
