Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday advised doctors of various medical institutions in the state, including King George's Medical University (KGMU), to write research papers and publish them. Cm Yogi said that doctors should not be limited to the treatment of patients only, but also make a habit of writing research papers. He inaugurated KGMU's newly built vascular surgery and thoracic surgery department and Asia's first pathogen reduction machine.

During this, CM Yogi said that when we talk about appointing doctors of the current medical college as teachers to build new medical colleges, NMC says that it has no objection to it, but the problem is that those doctors have not written a single research paper. Cm Yogi said that I think when we are not able to write research papers, then our progress towards patenting also looks almost zero. There is no shortage of patients in KGMU, but where are our research papers? Where are our publications? Yogi advised that we will also have to make the habit of writing research papers a part of our daily working method and if we do not do so, then our progress will be hampered.

CM Yogi told the doctors that we should also make a habit of writing. Don't just be limited to treatment. New research papers should come from KGMU, from every faculty member, from every department, and we should give our research papers for publication. CM Yogi said that all the departments of KGMU, some article of them should be published in international magazines.
