Varanasi: BJP's public awareness campaign is going on loudly in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). In this sequence, on Saturday, UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister Smriti Irani held a rally in PM Modi's Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi. The rally organized at Sampurnanand Sanskrit University Ground was organized under the banner of 'Lok Jagran Manch'.

CM Yogi while addressing the people here said that the Congress came under the pressure of Jinnah and did the unfortunate partition of the country. However, Gandhiji had said that those people who are in Pakistan, whenever they want to come to India, will be accepted by the government here. Taking a dig at the opposition, CM Yogi said that Congress is promoting arson and sabotage in the country. CAA is a decision taken in the interest of the country. Confusion is being created about the law.

CM Yogi further said that 'Baba Saheb Ambedkar was always a supporter of unity of India. Baba Saheb Ambedkar understood what would happen after forming Pakistan. But Jogindra Nath Mandal went to Pakistan. CM Yogi said that Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar was appointed as the Law Minister of India. At the same time, Jogindra Nath Mandal was given the post of Law Minister of Pakistan. But after seeing inhuman atrocities and vandalism, Mandal again came to India and later was forced to die anonymously.
