Lucknow: After the Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath expressed his intention to implement the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in the state like Assam, now the UP Police has started the proceedings. The DGP headquarters has issued directions to identify illegal Bangladeshis living in all the districts. According to the information received, Rohingya Muslims living in the entire state along with illegal Bangladeshis in UP will also be verified.
Information will also be gathered about whether illegal intruders have also maintained their whereabouts under the guise of legitimate people. UP's Suyam Yogi Adityanath had already asked to mark illegal Bangladeshi while assuming power, but she could not hold back. Now a campaign will be launched to identify Bangladeshis and Rohingya Muslims.
On behalf of the DGP headquarters, the captains of all the districts have been instructed to conduct a large-scale survey of illegal Bangladeshis and identify them. Whatever documents they have related to their identity, they should be examined, so that it is clear how illegal Bangladeshi are living here and what action can be taken against them.
