According to the government spokesperson, this pension portal has been prepared by the finance department. In this, the process of pension etc. will start with the application of the employee 6 months before the retirement and the order for payment of pension, gratuity, etc. will be issued till 3 months are left.

It is worth mentioning that in the system in force so far, it was the pensioners who had to collect all the records and run away. Pension forms and service records of pensioners were sent by post to the PPO issuing authority. It took a lot of time. On receipt of any deficiency, the same was sent back to the concerned office by post and from there, after the error was rectified, the said records were again sent to the PPO issuer. There was a lack of transparency in this system.
