Lucknow: CM Yogi Adityanath has given Diwali gift to the government employees and pensioners of Uttar Pradesh. CM Yogi Adityanath on Monday (October 17) announced to increase dearness allowance and dearness relief to state employees, pensioners and family pensioners. Along with the announcement of bonus to the employees of Uttar Pradesh, it has been announced to increase Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR). 

The Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief of Yogi government employees and pensioners have been increased by 4 percent. Along with this, the UP government will also provide a bonus of Rs 6,908 to each employee on Diwali. Earlier, the employees used to get a 34 per cent dearness allowance. Now it has been increased to 38 per cent. CM Yogi has told that this increase in the rate of dearness allowance and dearness relief will be implemented from July 1, 2022. That is, the arrears of the last 3 months will also be given to the employees.

While tweeting, CM Yogi also congratulated the pensioners to the state employees. He wrote that 'The UP government has increased the rate of dearness allowance and dearness relief from 34 per cent to 38 per cent with effect from July 01, 2022, for state employees and pensioners/family pensioners. At the same time, it has been decided to give a bonus of Rs 6,908 to each employee for the financial year 2021-22. Hearty congratulations to all of you!'
