Lucknow: Along with paying tribute to the martyrs on the Police Memorial Day, CM Yogi Adityanath roared fiercely at those playing with the law. He said that today in Uttar Pradesh no criminal is free, either in jail or killed. It is the result of the government's policy of zero tolerance against crime and criminals and the activism of the police that today managed crime has ended in UP. Women-girls, weaker sections and businessmen in the state are at peace today. Every festival is celebrated with peace and harmony. There is harmony in society. 

CM Yogi has informed that 166 dreaded criminals have been killed in different encounters in UP. Appreciating the efforts of the police for better law and order, CM Yogi said that while taking strict action against the criminals, assets worth 44 billion 59 crores have been confiscated or destroyed so far. Schools for daughters or houses for the poor are now being built on such lands. CM Yogi said that from 30 March 2017 to 13 October 2022, 166 dreaded criminals were killed in the entire state. While 4,453 were injured. Gangster action was taken on 58,648 and action was taken under NSA on 807.

CM Yogi said that properties worth about 2268 crores of 50 notorious mafias and their members were confiscated or destroyed. In this, a mafia and eight of his accomplices were also killed in the encounter. 39 have been sentenced to life imprisonment, then two criminals have also been sentenced to death through effective lobbying in the court. In the same period, 13 of our jawans have also been martyred, salute to all those martyrs.
