Lucknow: During the lockdown and corona epidemic, the Yogi government of UP is taking many decisions in view of the facilities of the public. The Yogi government has decided to provide food grains to about 1.80 crore children during lockdown and mid-day meal during summer holidays. There is also a preparation by the Yogi government to put 1000 rupees in the bank account of the parents. This facility is being provided by the Government through Convergence Cast.

Additional Chief Secretary Renuka Kumar has given instructions to all the district collectors of the state. According to which children of classes 1 to 5 will get 100 grams of grain daily and Rs 4.97 daily. Children up to class 6-8 will be given 150 grams of grain every day and Rs 7.45 every day. A total of 1,23,14,652 primary and 57,05,194 junior children study in a government school in UP, and accordingly about 1.80 crore children studying in government and aided schools will benefit from this.

He further said that the funds will be transferred through RTGS to the bank account of the parents / guardians of the students. For collecting the complete information (name of the parent, mobile number, bank account number etc.), the principal and teachers will be engaged with immediate effect. A voucher will be issued to the principal. In which information such as the name of the school, students, registration number, class and quantity of food will have to be filled. By following the social distancing, the school principal can call 2 to 3 parents in a school and take food and account related information.
