New Delhi: Cold wave conditions are likely to intensify in several states of North India including the country's capital Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan and Haryana from today. The Met department has issued rain warning in Delhi, UP and Haryana today. With this, snowfall has been continuing in the mountains since Sunday. In Himachal Pradesh, manali, Shimla and Dharamshala are experiencing heavy snowfall while Badrinath Dham in Uttarakhand has also experienced heavy snow. This has led to an increase in cold.

The minimum temperature is likely to drop to 10 degrees celsius in Delhi and NCR from Tuesday. The Met department has predicted a drop in temperature by December 20. At the same time, the impact of cold wave is also visible. In Himachal Pradesh, 130 routes have been blocked due to heavy snowfall in Kufri and Narkanda in Shimla. Rohtang Pass in Manali recorded 75 cm of snowfall and Atal Ton recorded 45 cm of snowfall.

At the same time, lahaul spiti has also snowed heavily. According to the latest met department alert, ghaziabad, faridabad, delhi, garh mukteshwar, meerut, bhiwani, rohtak, palwal and bijnor in NCR are likely to receive rain. The Met department has also predicted rain in districts like Aligarh, Hathras and Mathura, which are known as Braj region of UP, today.
