Chandigarh: The severe cold wave conditions in the Rewari district of Haryana for the past 3 days have been breaking records every day. While the minimum temperature was -1 degree Celsius on Sunday, the minimum temperature has been recorded at 0 degree Celsius on Monday. Rewari recorded the lowest temperature for the second consecutive day in the state. Hisar is also set to record a minimum temperature of 0.2 degrees Celsius. In Rewari, the 10-year cold record has been broken on December 20. In Hisar, the 11-year record of cold wave conditions till December 20 has been broken.

Regional Director, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Bawal, Dharambir Singh has said that the plains are experiencing record-breaking cold following continuous snowfall in the mountains. The minimum temperature in Rewari on Sunday was -1 degree Celsius. The temperature was recorded at 0 degrees celsius on Monday morning. The maximum temperature has been recorded at 22.0 degrees Celsius with a slight drop.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 3.0 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature at 17.5 degree Celsius on Saturday. It has also been sunny at 10 am on Monday, but the cold wave has added to the chill. He has said that the weather is going to be insensitive till 22nd December. Meanwhile, northwest winds are set to continue. Snow in hilly areas will increase cold in plains. Light fog is also going to prevail in the morning and evening.
