Colombia reported  9,412 new corona cases over the past 24 hours. With the addition of the new cases, the nationwide tally to 1,675,820, According to the health authorities said the country reported 200 more deaths, raising the national death toll to 43,965, said the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, adding that 1,542,353 patients have so far recovered.

In the view of increasing corona cases, The Colombian government has extended the health emergency until Feb. 28, urging people to avoid crowds and observe measures to curb the spread of the virus.

The overall number of global coronavirus cases has surpassed the 85 million mark, while the deaths have surged to more than 1.84 million, according to the Johns Hopkins University.In its latest update on Monday morning, the University's Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) revealed that the current global caseload and death toll stood at 85,083,468 and 1,842,492, respectively.
